A dose of vitamins in every spoonful.

Nature in all her wisdom has filled the most colorful foods with the highest concentration of health enhancing nutrients. One such nutrient is Carotene, a fat soluble pigment that give fruits and vegetables their vivid colors. Regular consumption of carotenoids helps to promote good health and to lower the risk for many diseases. These include age-related eye diseases like cataracts and macular degeneration, some cancers, and heart disease. Carotenoids also enhance our immune defenses.

There are over 600 different naturally-occurring carotenoids but only some can help produce Vitamin A in the body. These include beta-carotene, alpha-carotene and beta-cryptoxanthin.

Beta-carotene is the most important of these because of its wide distribution in the diet and the fact that it has the highest rate of provitamin A activity. Carrots and tomatoes are a rich source of carotenoids but red palm oil contains over 15 times more carotenoids than carrots and 300 times more than tomatoes.

Premium Red Palm Oil contains high concentrations (500-700 ppm) of beta-and alpha-carotene, which make up approximately 90% of its total carotenoid content. Beta-carotene is converted to vitamin A in our body upon demand and it is a safe source of vitamin A with no risk of overdosing (hypervitaminosis). Vitamin A is essential for the formation and maintenance of skin, bones and teeth and for vision.
